Hello dear people. I am working on several stories at the same time. Yeah, I’m nuts. But that’s okay. Sanity is highly overrated. The main reason I’m working on several pieces at the same time is because my characters keep bugging me. Sometimes they can be quite the nags. And when you get 3 or 4 nagging at you, well it can get a little crazy. I have Neta and Cugi from “Promises” nipping at my heels. I also have Phillis from “The Key” asking me to help her find what the key opens. Then there are the 2 ladies from “The Encounter” also asking for equal time. Oh, yeah before I forget I also have the group from “The House of Mystery” whispering in my ear. So in one way I’m lucky, I have an endless supply of stories. In another way it’s a pain in the butt, mostly my fault I admit, they all want to continue and so I am going back and forth and not finishing any one. Sighhhhh.
But soon my readers, soon. (picture a crazy lady insanely rubbing her hands together, with a crazy grin) 😉
In the meantime, I thought I would take a break from the insanity and put together a few poems that I really enjoy. Sometimes it helps me to read something so far from what I am working on to give me time and space to refocus. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Hope
“Hope” is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all,
– Emily Dickinson
Fire and Ice
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favour fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
– Robert Frost

I absolutely love those poems, they just go straight to your soul.
For your characters, you’re lucky to be so creative, what a blessing!

thank you! I think it’s a blessing too, most times. except when I’m trying to actually finish one and the other characters get jealous. 😉

Love your choice of poetry, as for the writing are you sure it’s your characters and not the readers spurring you along as we keep demanding more 🙂
