NaNoWriMo ~ Day 4

I’m baaaackkkkk. I have had a great productive day today! Yeah me! It has been quiet, no phone ringing, no dog barking. Nothing but peace and quiet to write in. Blessed be! I managed to produce 2786 words today in a relatively short period of time. It just kept coming so fast out of my brain my fingers could hardly keep up! And I type fairly fast. It’s a good thing because yesterday I got a bit behind. Now I’m predicted to finish Nov. 28Th! Well, only if I keep up the pace.

I now have a total of 7461 words written in 4 days. Not bad.

I was doing some snooping around the NaNo site today after I punched in my word count and some people have 10 or 20 thousand words written all ready!!  20 thousand!! In four days. Me thinks they started writing way before November 1. ha! Of course if I would have been smart and not so lazy I could have done the same I suppose. But what is the challenge in that? Oh well.

I enjoy reading, writing, and painting. I love animals and at present have one dog (Sam) and 2 cats (brother and sister, Notwen and Pouncer). I've lived in various places in the USA and now in Canada. I've always enjoyed watching life and people and have developed an appreciation for it all. My outlook is sometimes out of the normal.... but that's what makes things so interesting! I am always interested in the opinions of others. Everyone has their own outlook and it's always worthwhile to listen!

  1. 10,000 I could see if they’ve been mentally plotting it out for a long time and just have to actually type it, but 20,000 seems excessive. Then again, when I was working on a story at one time (lost it..damn motherboard) I used to write 5-10 pages a night. I don’t know how many words that is.

    1. That’s quite a few words girl. And um, do you save your work to disk?? I save my novel to disk every day cus if I lose it I would never remember everything I wrote. I would have to hurt something. 😉

      1. that was a long time ago. lol. i punched something….i got bloody knuckles and learned two things. 1- i cant punch. 2- back up your work.

  2. I still am trying to wrap my head around the NaNoWriMo concept. What becomes of the end product???

I think it’s awesome that you can roll out a novel at the end of the month… maybe one i’ll jump on board. 😉
Go Jackie, you can do it…get your write on! lol

    1. well the end product hopefully becomes a novel, with a whole lot of editing first! lol
Also, I wanted to mention I can’t seem to get on your blog! Everytime I do my virus scanner pops up and won’t let me access it. It says your web page has a virus on it! I thought you should know and maybe you could run a virus scan on your puter. I couldn’t email you because I couldn’t get on your site to get your email! Hard to read your posts when my puter won’t let me on it. ;-(

    2. I copied what my computer just said trying to access your page
Content from, a known malware distributor, has been inserted into this web page. Visiting this page now is very likely to infect your computer with malware.

        1. I can’t seem to access your page no matter what I do! It’s very frustrating because I enjoy reading your posts. I have run a check on mine and it says it’s clean so I don’t know whats wrong.

  3. Good for you… keep it up. The hurricane threw me off course but I will be fine and catch up. Lets connect; my name on Nanowrimo is ElizOF. Thank you for checking in during the Hurricane… your kind wishes were appreciated!

          1. Movember is when a man grows a moustache for cancer awareness month which is this month. I am talking about NaNoWriMo which is when during this month people try to write a book of 50,000 words. So confusing I know with so much happening this month. Also I wrote a post for Movember it is about cancer. So which do you want to do? It is up to you my dear Sir Pirate.

          2. no problem. I know you have been busy. And with all that is happening this month it is easy to get mixed up. We will get it straight between us 🙂
