What’s Black and Blue and Hurts All Over?

Answer: ME!

Yeah, I hurt. The reason for this is that I fell in the tub the other day. I have the bruises to prove it. Eh, at least I’m alive. I just hurt like hell.

I have a really nice purplish/yellow/green BIG bruise on my right knee. A few smaller ones on my other leg and my left arm. Yeah, not my greatest moment. I’m just glad I got tough bones. šŸ˜‰

But enough of the self-pity! I got other things to say.

Below is the view from my new home office window. The past few days I’ve been watching a hawk hunting back there. Not a bad view. I wish there were trees, but hey it’s still better than buildings. These are part of the couleesĀ around town. There is a train that goes through a couple of times a day, but you can’t hardly hear it as it’s down in a valley.

Via Wikipedia:

(CouleeĀ (orĀ coulĆ©e) is applied rather loosely to different landforms, all of which refer to a kind of valley or drainage zone.

The wordĀ couleeĀ comes from theĀ Canadian FrenchĀ coulĆ©e, fromĀ FrenchĀ wordĀ coulerĀ meaning “to flow”.)

  1. Ouch, hope you heal quickly.

I was seriously jealous of you with that first picture, after seeing that one your view is some what less inspiring, but I hope you still find your inspiration in your office.

    1. I know, I wish I could see the view like my first picture. I can of course if I go about half a mile ;-). But it’s still a nice view.

  2. I’m glad you were not seriously hurt but know it can still feel like you were. It’s a concern for me so I’m always extra cautious. I like your view. Getting settled after a move is exhausting.

    1. thank you. It is exhausting. I still have boxes to unpack. But am taking it more slow now. I was very careful, and am, but for some reason the new bath mat slipped out from under me. Needless to say I have another bathmat. šŸ™‚

  4. I feel your pain as I threw my back out last Wednesday! I couldn’t even move a muscle for the rest of the day without severe pain. I hope you are better soon. My recovery is slow but at least I am recovering.

    1. Ouch! I know that hurts! Hope it get better real soon. I’m getting there, the bruises are still around but I’m not quite so sore as long as I don’t try to do too much. Here’s to both of our recoveries!

  5. Sorry to hear you are black and blue and hurting. I hope you are already turning yellow and green and hurting a bit less. I’ve been dealing with surgeries on both males (hubby and Bumble – both fine considering) in the house so I’ve been tardy in my reading. Happy you seem to be adjusting nicely apart from the fall. Get well soon!

    1. Awww whats wrong with the fellas? Nothing serious I hope.

As for me, yeah I’m turning all sorts of colors and as long as I don’t overdo things my knee is good. I heal fairly fast for an old timer. haha!

      1. You’ll need to believe you’re 25 and you’ll heal even faster šŸ™‚
With the fellas nothing too bad or new. Bumble looks funny with small stitches all over (removed skin tags that come with his Addisions) and he has refused to model for any photos lately šŸ™‚

Love the views, so much better than the wood, brick and steal combinations that a lot of people see. šŸ™‚

  7. I hate falling when I’m naked.

I can’t believe it has been so long since I’ve been here! Time is flying by so fast, I must be 80 years old by now.

I love your view out your window. No buildings, big sky – very nice.
I hope your bruises have healed and you’re feeling better now. Is everything unpacked? šŸ˜‰

    1. Maddie!! Hey was wondering where you were. šŸ™‚

Yeah I like my view too, super good. My bruises are almost gone but I think I messed my knee up as I can hardly walk sometimes. I guess I should see my dr, but eh, I’ll see.

Everything is NOT unpacked. ha! The most important stuff is, but as I have less room I have to figure out where to put everything. Slow going for some.
