Friday Fictioneers ~~ June 14, 2013

Hello everyone! Welcome again to another Friday, and of course Friday Fictioneers. I appreciate any and all comments.

I would like to apologize if I haven’t visited your blog lately and read your stories on Friday Fictioneers. Life has been pretty busy. I have tried to visit some of you that I haven’t before, or haven’t seen in a while. I do have my favorites that I visit every week (Shhhh, don’t tell anyone, but YOU are my favorite) 🙂

There are so many of us now on FF’s that it makes it difficult to visit each and every one of you. I want to visit all of you, but I just can’t. So please forgive my rudeness.

With that said, anyone who reads this is more than welcome to join us! Or if you just want some awesome stories to read please click on our gracious hostess, Rochelle Wisoff-Fields name and you will be whisked away to her blog and there you can read the few rules we have, or scroll down till you meet the blue critter. Click on him and he will take you on a journey to the land of wonderful stories. Now off we go!

THE CHALLENGE:

Write a one hundred word story that has a beginning, middle and an end. (No one will be ostracized for going over or under the word count.)

THE KEY:

Make every word count.

“Help!!!!”

Rollo tried calling out once more but  it was no use. The sound stage was empty. Would be for the week.

He had snuck in after closing Friday. He had thought earlier that day this would be the perfect hiding place. Now he was stuck.

His manager kept telling him, “Rollo it’s going to be the death of you!”

He was tired of having it stolen all the time, so he hid it. Now he was stuck trying to retrieve it.

“Help!!!!!!!!!”

He could smell it, almost taste it.

Gave a whole new meaning to ‘Death by chocolate’.

      1. I used to love eating those but with all of my food allergies I can’t them anymore but I can eat some sugar-free chocolate and ice-cream. Yummy!

  1. This is a fantastic take on the prompt – such an original idea and, of course, explains the picture perfectly. Now if he could just reach it and limit himself to one cube a day, he might just make it through the week.

  2. This made me laugh, darling! I once came home to find Penny bent over the sofa, legs up in the air, calling for help — she had been reaching you — yes, you guessed it — a Hershey’s kiss. She’d been tossing them up in the air and trying to catch them in her mouth, and a stray kiss fell behind the sofa. The things we do for chocolate!

    1. Ah yes, we will do quite a lot for chocolate. That is funny. Hope she at least got her chocolate back. 🙂 Thank you so much for stopping by.

    1. Can’t write dark when it’s about chocolate. 😉 Well dark is better for you. With Rollo I don’t think it matters. ha!

  3. Dear Jackie,

Some folks are very serious about their chocolate. Rollo, it seems is…was…one of those. (I also caught the name ;))

    Sweet story.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

    1. I knew if anyone would you would catch the name. 😉 Rollo was very serious about his chocolate especially not sharing.

  4. Brilliant – I can picture him now, reaching out for the chocolate but not quite able to grasp it. Reminds me of the story of Gunther Burpus (worth a quick google if you’ve got 2 mins)

    1. I did indeed google Gunther Burpus. Now that made me laugh! I can see the similarity. Thanks El, 🙂
