Friday Fictioneers ~~ June 28

I’m going to skip any chatter today and go right to the good stuff. Well except to thank Rochelle Wisoff-Fields once again for hosting. And to let you know you can click on her name and that will take you to her blog where you can read about the few rules we have. Also you can scroll down on Rochelle’s blog till you meet the blue critter, then click on him and from there you can read lots of other great stories based on the same picture. Go there. Now! πŸ˜‰

THE CHALLENGE:

Write a one hundred word story that has a beginning, middle and an end. (No one will be ostracized for going over or under the word count.)

THE KEY:

Make every word count.

Genre- General Fiction (100 words)

He stopped running, bending he breathed in big gulps of air. Racing heart, Β sweat running down his face he noticed things getting blurry.

No! He refused to lose focus. Β Chest heaving, shinsΒ burning, he straightened and started running again.

Almost tripping he managed to keep running. He had to get there! He was not quitting! Lungs burning, he noticed the bus that passed, almost in slow motion.

Brushing the sweat out of his eyes, he kept moving. It was a matter of pride now.

Wife bet him he couldn’t run to the corner and back. Show her who was out of shape!
