I have another poem for your enjoyment by Liz Casey, aka BigLizzy from BigBodyBeautiful. She’s a wonderful poet and writer.

I always have admiration for anyone that can write good poetry and Liz is right up there. I never seem to be able to write poetry so I’ll stick with short stories. I’m sure you will agree it’s for the best, especially if you have ever read any of my poetry attempts.

The Day We Met

the moment opened up in front of us

all eyes and breath

no one else felt it

but we did

you did

later, in my dark room

sifting through the words

we spoke and how the

light

poured out of you

and lit me up

I knew everything was going to be

different

and it is
