Tell us about the experience of being outside, looking in — however you’d like to interpret that.
Photographers, artists, poets: show us OUTSIDE.
When I saw today’s Daily Prompt, I had no idea what I was going to do with it, if anything at all. With the new year, I made a promise to myself that I would try different things on my blog. I’ve done a Haiku and that went over pretty well. So today I thought I need to do something new again (for me).
I’m going to do (attempt) an Acrostic using the word OUTSIDE. According to Wikipedia: An acrostic is a poem or other form of writing in which the first letter, syllable or word of each line, paragraph or other recurring feature in the text spells out a word or a message.
Other side of the window I do peer,
Under the old oak tree I stand, whose branches creak and groan
That hides me as I watch those inside,
Solemnly I watch them play, with smiles and joy and carefree ways
In the gloom of dusk, I dry my tears and sigh, wishing for more from those inside.
Darkness creeps to cover me, as I walk away from the sight.
Enjoy my dears, enjoy your life and live that life that is so bright.
