Share Your World – 2014 Week 15

Hello people!

Hope everyone is enjoying their day. If you aren’t, don’t worry, it’s almost over with.

So today we have another Share Your World day. Thanks once again to Cee from Cee’s Photography for giving us another set of questions to answer.

For your blog do you basically use Windows or Mac, laptop, desktop, pad, or phone?

I always use my desktop, using Windows. I’ve never had a Mac, but I would like to have one, never could afford it. Who knows though, maybe my next computer. I don’t have a Smartphone, so no phone use. I don’t have an iPad either. It sucks being technology denied. Ha ha!

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I have always wanted to be a writer. Ever since I was taught how to read. I love stories and reading, and thought it would be so great to write stories that others enjoyed reading.

Did you grow up in a small or big town? Did you like it?

Well, I had a bit of a unique childhood in that I grew up in both, almost at the same time. My parents always had a summer place in upper Wisconsin that we went to during the summer months. Me, my sister and brother would be there all summer by ourselves when we got old enough. It was a glorious place to be in the summer, there was forest, lakes, streams  and untold openness to explore and dream about. During the school year we lived in the big city in Wisconsin, so a bit of both every year. .

How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?

Some days I feel 20, some days I feel 120, depends. But usually in my mind, I’m still about 30. Which of course I’m not, but that’s how I feel most times.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I’m grateful for the weather finally getting warmer, it seems this winter was longer than usual. Probably no worse than any other winter, but it seemed like it was. I’m also grateful for good friends, who understand me and don’t need things explained to them. They just get it and me.

I’m looking forward to more of the same of this past week. That’s good enough for me.

NaPoWriMo Day 14 ~~ Apple Blossom Rain

Apple Blossom Rain

I sit with you, early morning spring

The apple blossoms floating down

Like fragrant, soft rain

As we laugh, we lift the veil on our lives

Now free to explore each other

Let’s see how we fit as one

Our experiences to share

As innocents pursuing discovery

I place a soft petal against your lips

Sparkling dew adds a layer of loveliness

Our lips brush,

The warmth of the morning grows

Our hearts beat loudly

Calling to each other,

Across a void of miles, embracing

Accepting no differences now

Your head rests upon my chest

Apple blossoms falling like spring rain

Their fragrance sweet and innocent

We are in a perfect place

We are content

I would like to thank Michael from Morpethroad for helping me once again to write this poem. I had writer’s block and he came to the rescue. Please go visit Michael’s blog and say hi! Thank you
