The Daily Post photo challenge this week is: contrasts

Here is my contribution.

My dog Sam and my cat Pouncer sharing the same sunbeam. Now they are a contrast as their personalities are such that this sharing is a very rare occurrence.

I love this picture I took last year of a sunset off my patio. The bare trees are a sharp contrast against the beautiful fiery sunset.

My mother, who will be 85 this year. A woman of many contrasts. She can be the nicest person in the world. Just don’t dare cross her!  My mother and I have had our difficulties in the past, but she is the strongest woman I know as she has overcome so many things in her life. She is only 4’11, but she is a giant in personality.

I enjoy reading, writing, and painting. I love animals and at present have one dog (Sam) and 2 cats (brother and sister, Notwen and Pouncer). I've lived in various places in the USA and now in Canada. I've always enjoyed watching life and people and have developed an appreciation for it all. My outlook is sometimes out of the normal.... but that's what makes things so interesting! I am always interested in the opinions of others. Everyone has their own outlook and it's always worthwhile to listen!

  1. Nice images of contrast. All picture this in their very own way. I LOVE the sunset, it looks like a painting. You could let it be printed in oil on canvas and hang it up 🙂

  2. Your mother looks so young! 85? wow – I hope I have that sprightliness and ‘no-lines’ face when I’m 85 😀

Your contrast shots are fabulous. Isn’t it amazing how a beam of sunlight can bring natural enemies together? 😉

And ‘Mother Nature’s Art’ is brilliant. I thought it was a painting xxx

    1. Most of the women in my family age gracefully. But my mom is in a class of her own lol. thank you.

Those two rarely get along, so it was a good shot in many different ways. 😉

It was a beautiful shot, I got lucky with that sunset. The picture never fails to make me smile. xxx

    1. There is no one like my mom. She is one of kind, lol
I am me, but bright? hmmm I don’t know, I hope so. In my own way. Thank you Michael, always a pleasure

  3. Love the picture of your fur sweeties. The trees and red sky is beautiful. Your mom looks much younger and looks like a really sweet person… her wonderful smile. Hugs
