(This is part of an email I sent a really great friend this morning, who asked how I was doing. This friend has been with me since the beginning of when I pulled the ligament in my knee almost six weeks ago. They suggested that it would make a funny post and I agreed. So here it is. Hope you enjoyed my tongue in cheek humor today. But, really I wouldn’t recommend this diet, it sucks. And yes I did lose almost 15 lbs in 6 weeks because of the pain. Some good came out of it all I guess. LOL)
Lol Jackie – very funny! I often prescribe the same medicine to people that have an ailment. Got a headache? Well, let me boot you in the shin with me steel toe cap boot and your headache will miraculously disappear 🙂

There’s a sliver lining there, yes….but not an ideal way to manage the weight loss, by any stretch!

What is his marital status and view on cats? He doesn’t have to break anything just… Um…yeah, never mind.

LOL He loves cats, when he isn’t breaking bones, he’s a real cuddlier.

Sorry Kim, being in constant pain is not fun, but for me it makes me lose my appetite, might not work in the long run though.

Ay, no me gusta! Ouch! You poor thing. But I have to ask, usually when I am in pain (which is quite often) and I have to remain sedentary, I GAIN many pounds!! The fact that you lost so many is incredible! Not that I want to try this diet but if I am already in pain, it would be nice to benefit from the weight loss. 🙂 Feel better soon.

To tell you the truth, I thought I would gain too! But it seems my appetite left me when the pain moved in. I’m not sure why, but I’m glad I was at least compensated for some of the pain. I’m sorry you are usually in pain. It’s not fun.

Not the best way to lose weight to be sure, but at least you got a silver lining out of it.

Thanks Mer, I’m sorry you are in so much pain too. I had to joke about it, that or cry and I did enough of that.

Oh, Jackie. Is there any way to get the pain to ease up? How much longer does your doctor think this pain will last. The pain, even with silver linings, is eventually toxic to the body. I sure understand the tongue in cheek way of poking humor at an unbearable situation. I can only hope you get well soon. Cute post. I’m sure many have lost weight that way.

Thanks Marlene. The dr says everyone heals at different speeds. So it’s a waiting game. It’s a lot better than it was last week, still hurts, but not like it did before and I’m at least getting some sleep.

Good to hear Jackie. Watch some funny movies and read some funny books. It helps the endorphins to help us heal. I understand. 4 1/2 years of trying to heal nerve damage from Bells has been an eye opener.
