Friday Fictioneers ~~ Sept. 12, 2014

It’s been a long time since I wrote something for Friday Fictioneers, so I thought what better time than my birthday! (Shameless plug! LOL)

I’ve missed writing these little 100 word stories every week, so here I am again! For those few newcomers who don’t know what Friday Fictioneers is, let me explain.

Friday Fictioneers is a group of very talented writers who write a 100 word story based solely on a picture. It’s an amazing way to hone your writing craft and great fun! It’s run by the super nice and super talented Rochelle Wisoff-Fields from Addicted to Purple. If you would like to know more, or are interested in joining, just click on the link and go see for yourself. And while you are there, scroll down till you come across the little blue guy, click on him and read some really creative stories! Thanks for stopping in!

My story starts after the picture.

Genre: Horror? (100 words)

Faith looked at her recent purchase. Beautiful. The old antique dealer said it was magical. Faith blew him off, nonsense she said. She loved it because it was big, expensive and would show her beauty off nicely.

Like everything in her life, it was to show her at her best.

She stepped in front of the mirror. Later that day, people said they could hear her screams for blocks.

When the old man heard the news, he smiled. He did try to tell her that the mirror showed people as their true selves. He’ll retrieve the mirror once again, tomorrow.
