Hello people!
Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend so far. I am on day 2 of Nano Poblano and NaBloPoMo. So glad you could join me.
I woke up this morning to snow! Lots of snow. Pictures are to follow. It started snowing last night before I went to bed after a day of dark skies. This morning there was at least 15 -20 cm of snow on the ground (6-8 inches). Our first winter storm here in my part of Alberta Canada. While it is very pretty, it’s also cold and yucky LOL.
I don’t think it will last as by Tuesday we are supposed to get up to 11c (52F). It’s also not the first snow we’ve gotten, that happened in the beginning of September, but this is the first snow that has stuck around. So, hope you enjoy the pictures and hope you all stay warm and stay safe today.
The above two photos were taken out my back window at home last week. I loved the contrast between the dark, cloudy sky and the golden color of the wild grass.
The snow pictures are of the same exact viewpoint of the first ones. Quite a difference, but still beautiful in its own cold way.
Best wishes on your nano.

Is it bad that I am a little jealous? I mean sure, I am dragging my feet on turning on the heater but that is because the weather is so back and forth. 🙂

Come for a visit and we’ll play in the snow. 🙂

I must admit to being a little jealous, I LOVE the snow! We don’t get enough of it here to get fed up of it, last year we didn’t have any where I live and I was so disappointed. A couple of days ago here it was 20C, so warm and sunny for the time of year, but today was more typical British; grey and rainy and windy, ah well!

If I could Vanessa I would send you some snow for your very own. It’s fun after the first time, then it gets to be just hard work LOL

I keep thinking it must be feet deep come winter, the snow and the cold. Quite the contrast Jackie, stay warm.

Sigh. I love cold, snow and winter. Is it early for you guys to get snow? I can’t wait to have here, I have new boots I’m itching to break in.

Oh so much white! It’s pretty but I understand one can get fed up quite quickly…too much shoveling is taxing on the body. We had the coolest day since last winter, only 10 C this morning and 13 C in the afternoon…add some wind from the ocean and it feels cool here. I saw Papa Osprey gliding high up above the park…he enjoyed the wind!! Keep warm now my friend ❤

It is pretty, till you have to shovel it and try to drive in it. Right now it melted some, now it’s frozen over with the night lol. I bet PO loved the wind!
You stay warm yourself ❤

I can honestly say I’m glad it’s you and not me. After nearly 25 years of living in the snow belt of Pennsylvania I am looking forward to my first year in an area known for milder snowfalls.

Still catching up. You can have the snow. It’s pretty and I have lots of photos to prove it. Yes it is quite a contrast. I have a feeling there will be fewer contrasts this year. When I see snow, I just want to build a fire and stay put till it’s all gone. Rain, I don’t have to shovel. Lets see, where is that good book, cup of coffee and my blanket? Think I want to snuggle now. 🙂

We we have snow again today. LOL So I will have to shovel again. I don’t like to shovel, it’s more of a have to, as no one else is going to do it. 😉
