Hello, people!
I hope you had a great Christmas and now we are fast approaching New Year’s! Anyone have plans for New Year’s eve or day?
Here’s a Sam and Me comic about how pets enjoy the wrapping that gifts come in much more than then the toys themselves. Hope you enjoy it!
Little kids are often like this, they find the wrapping much more fun than the expensive gift it wrapped.

The difference between kids and fur kids is the price of the toys. š Mine don’t mine cheap toys from Dollar store. ha!

Haha..cute comic. I had to work for the most part over Christmas but now I am off for most of the week. I hoping to share my traditional NYE dinner with my son and his (new) GF. Sirloin Steaks, marinaded in a raspberry vinaigrette and grilled. Large fluffy baked potatoes with sweet cream butter, kosher salt and freshly ground pepper, shrimp scampi, and sugar snap peas; and of course, cheesecake.
I’m excited!
Happy New Year Jackie!

Wow, that sounds like a great menu, Dawn! Yummy! Not so nice that you had to work over Christmas, but now having time off helps. Enjoy the time! Happy New Year to you also and enjoy a piece of cheesecake for me! š (my favorite!)

I love cheesecake and so did my dad. It always makes me think of him so I try to have it just once a year, for New Years, makes it all the more special.

Yes it does make it special. My dad’s thing was a raw hamburger sandwich (he was German) I think I’ll skip that…sorry dad. š

Hope you had a good Christmas Jackie, ours was good, and is still carrying on, I’m not back at work till the 4th, so I’m making the most of it! Love your comic – I often like the packaging myself too!

We don’t do anything for New Years…having some shrimp cocktail and attempting a turkey dinner. lol

I did turkey for Christmas so for New Years we are just having munchies…vegi’s and dip, crackers, cheese, sausage, shrimp too. This is what Rob and I usually do for New Year’s. It’s my time to do nothing. š

Loved the comic. My friend brought her year old over last week and he wanted nothing to do with the cars but loved the long empty tubes from wrapping paper. They were bigger than he was. I offered them as a Christmas gift. š No luck there. I’m ready for New Year. Like you, I don’t cook. I’m done. I want to sit and write, maybe watch a little TV and go to bed early. By new years day I’m ready to spin my mattress and put on clean sheets and start organizing and cleaning up Christmas. Sounds fun doesn’t it? š¦ Hope you have a good new year.

So why do we bother putting anything in the box?? I’ll have to think of that next year… š

I often ask myself that question. š Next year, empty boxes for everyone! ha!
