Why it’s Mad Hatter Day in the US (in the UK it is celebrated on June 10th)! Today silliness is being celebrated. So go grab a silly hat and put on a silly smile and laugh that silly laugh and let’s have some silly fun!
It’s been forever since I got my silly on. How about you? So I’m going to ask you to tell me…What’s the silliest thing you’ve ever done?

Why don’t you ever see hippopotamus hiding in trees? Because they’re really good at it.
There was a young lady of Lynn,
Who was so excessively thin.
That when she assayed,
To drink lemonade,
She slipped through the straw and fell in.
An ambitious young fellow named Matt,
Tried to parachute using his hat.
Folks below looked so small,
As he started to fall,
Then got bigger and bigger and SPLAT!

When I was about 8 I cut all my eyelashes off because my big sister told me to – now THAT was silly (they grew back eventually) 😀

I dyed my brown hair Nice ‘n Easy blue-black in the 1980’s when I was crushing on a heavy metal band member and read somewhere that that was the color he used.

Wow. Blue-black….Hard to picture you with such dark hair. I dyed my hair black once too because my mom talked me into it. She said my dad always wanted a black haired, blue eyed daughter. People kept asking me if I was or had been really ill. LOL

Too funny! I had a long perm at the time, too, and had to get the hair chopped off because between the dye and the perm, it was all knots. What a mess. Darn that Nikki Sixx!

Well I’m silly ALL the time, I don’t need a special day for it 🙂 Although I’m disappointed to learn I did miss the special day for it over here in June, nobody told me! Yesterday I was in the kitchen at my work making a cup of tea and while I was waiting for the kettle to boil I was dancing around and talking to myself, and then suddenly I spotted someone else was sitting in the corner of the room! It’s really not a big kitchen, it’s like an average sized bedroom I would say, and in the corner is a little desk that people occasionally use if they’re just stopping by and need somewhere to work for a bit, but because there were some boxes piled next to it, I didn’t see him! That’s an example of the kind of silly thing I do inadvertently on a daily basis!

It was! A little hard on the legs what with the vibration of roller skating on cement road as opposed to a smooth skating rink, but I was young and dumb so I didn’t care. 🙂
