Share Your World ~~~ April 24, 2017

Hello, People! I do hope everyone’s weekend was good.

Here is this Monday’s Share your world from Cee. Why not go visit her blog and see about joining us! If not, just visiting her blog and seeing her wonderful photos will do you a world of good.

Wanting something to quench your thirst, what would you drink?

It’s usually water or coffee. I have one diet soda a day but for a real thirst, I go for water.

Complete this sentence:  Never In My Life Have I….

Never in my life have I …gone for a helicopter ride, went on a safari, swam in the ocean, …. and the list could go on and on. I mean there are a lot of ‘nevers’ in my life as I’m sure there are in others. I try not to dwell on them. I’m getting older and not traveling anymore so I may never do those nevers. And that’s ok. I’ve done a lot of other things and I’m content with that.

If you could be given any gift what would it be?

I could say my health back. But, that’s a bit unrealistic but it would be nice. Materialistically? I would say…money. I want to know my husband and I would be well taken care of as we age. I would also like enough to help my friends that need it.

On my list too would be to buy a big piece of land with a small cottage smack in the middle and have the rest for a safe haven for abused and misplaced animals. I always wanted a huge place so I could save as many animals as I could. They are the innocents of the world.

What do you do if you can’t sleep at night? Do you count sheep, toss and turn, or get up and try to do something productive?

I meditate. I take deep breaths and think pleasant thoughts. I know I can’t get up and do something because my body takes that as a time to fully wake up and energize. I learned a long time ago not to do that. Sometimes I toss and turn but eventually, I fall asleep. Usually, though, all it takes is meditation.

How was your weekend?

  1. Great answers, Jackie. Water with lemon does the trick for me. Lemon helps water hydrate you better. I had to give up coffee for a few days. It was dehydrating me to the point my vision left me unable to drive. Who knew! No soda at all. I get leg cramps from even a sip. Funny, I can drink wine but not sparkling wine. I like that you are content with what you probably can’t get done in this lifetime. I’m hoping for a better ride the next time around. 🙂 I agree on the greatest gift being our health. That’s what I want too. I always wanted enough room to have lots of animals too. Someone who loves them and me would be nice too. I do breathing exercises when I can’t sleep. That usually happens in the early morning hours but now that I’m alone, I can get up if I can’t go back to sleep. Frustrating. You’d be waking up the husband that has trouble sleeping already. I hope you had a good weekend. I’m having trouble getting up a head of steam. The rain should stop by the weekend. :)))) Hugs, M

    1. Thanks, Marlene. I had to cut my coffee intake by at least half. Upset my stomach too much. Such is age. lol
I’m hoping for a much better ride next time around myself. Maybe that’s why I’ve come to terms with this one. Who knows. I may change my mind tomorrow. haha! Hugs my friend. 🙂

  2. Water and coffee it is for me too. And a glass of red wine for dinner. I hope your wish of health and lots of land will come through 🙂 The animals are truly the innocents of the world, together with small kids. many hugs and love to you my friend ❤
