Another week, another Share Your World post. Hey, at least I manage this one yet. I haven’t been posting much at all lately. Sorry about that. Yesterday I had a huge worry lifted off my shoulders so I’m hoping with that out of the way I can get back to some sort of writing schedule again. Cross your fingers.
Now on with this week’s questions and answers!
What is the most famous landmark or building you have ever seen?
Wow, I had to really think on this one. I’ve visited the Alamo. Various state capitals. That’s about it. When I travel or when I used to travel I didn’t want to spend it sightseeing. I spent it in the woods with nature. I haven’t seen a lot of famous landmarks or buildings. Eh, don’t think I’m missing much. Nature beats them every time.
Do you like long vacation or lots of mini-vacations?
I prefer mini-vacations. I always did. Not that I have had one in a very long time. Now, with the husband being in such bad shape we don’t go or do anything. Which is ok. I did a lot of traveling and moving when I was younger. I’m quite content to stay home now.
What is your favorite National or State Park?
When I was in my early 20’s I went camping in state parks all the time. Every vacation from work we would pack up her car, attach our bikes and off we would go for a couple of weeks exploring state parks in Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, and Michigan. It was great fun back then. A different time.
All the state parks we visited were beautiful. I couldn’t really pick a favorite.
What is your fantasy vacation?
Spending time in the woods in a small cabin by a lake. Or, rent a treehouse and staying for about a week. Living in a tree. Wouldn’t that be something? I would love it! There are lots more around Canada and the US then I thought. I’m sure they are in other countries as well.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!
I’d like to visit a National Park in MIchigan. I hear the nature is very similar to Finland. I guess that’s why so many Finns have settled there, LOL!

From what I’ve seen of Finland through pictures I would say they are right. Wisconsin’s are also very similar. 🙂

I’m so glad you had that huge worry lifted off your shoulders, Jackie! Yay! it’s always so refreshing when that happens. My fantasy vacation always involves a beach (of any description) 🙂

Thank you, Dianne. I don’t think a person realizes how worried they are about something until that worry is gone. Beaches are always a good thing. 🙂

I’m with you on these. I do like sleeping close to the ocean though as the sound of the waves lulls me to sleep. But prefer the natural surroundings and the quiet. I’m not a sightseer either. I’ve had to do it for company though. Grand Canyon, St Louis Arch, that kind of thing. Took visitors to Disneyland 7 times in the early years before the price went out of sight and I couldn’t stand to go one more time. Not sure what was worrying you but I hope it’s definitely off your shoulders. I know a lot about that right now.

thanks, Marlene. I’ve seen the St. Louis Arch and Disneyland. I forgot all about those. It’s been too many years. lol
My worry was worrisome, but it’s pretty much gone now. I do hope you are doing well. Big hugs.

Happy to see your post, my friend! I’ve been thinking of you. Your dream vacation in a tree house made me smile. I could join you provided there was an Osprey nest in the next tree 😄. More seriously, I think I would enjoy that as well. Many hugs 🤗 and I hope to hear more from you soon.
