It’s Tuesday here so it must mean it’s time for Monday’s Cee’s Share your world! A bit twisted I know but that’s me!
Here we go:
What goal are you working on now? Your goal can be something fun or extremely serious. Have fun with this question.
I always have several goals going on at any given time. Nothing like spreading myself out. First, to get healthy, which seems to be a lot of people’s goals. Second to finish writing my two or three books I have in various stages of completion. Then going on to write several more. Then there is my goal to become filthy rich. Yeah, I’m always working on that one but seem to keep getting further behind with it. Of course, that would mean I need to be ambitious and driving in my goal to become filthy rich. Eh, maybe tomorrow.
What is one thing you’re glad you tried but would never do again?
After my first divorce, I would have said marriage. Yet, here I am, married again. Will I never learn?
I tried flying a kite once because several people have told me to “go fly a kite”. It got stuck in a tree. So, I never tried again.
I tried perming my hair once when I was a kid. Disaster! Never tried that again.
I even tried decaffeinated coffee once on my doctor’s advice. Oh. My. God. Never again! Talk about nasty!
Did you choose your profession or did it choose you?
Well, it depends on your definition of ‘profession’. If it means I’m a Jack of all trades and master of none, then yup that’s what I chose! I never had the same job twice. I’ve been many things in my life, secretary (as Cee would say, “for people old enough to remember what that was”, Antique restorer and dealer, carpet cleaner, Personal Assistant (a glorified secretary really), retail clerk, casino worker, personal aide. Just to name a few that I remember. I like variety.
Have you ever gotten lost?
I don’t get lost! I have mini adventures. LOL
So in short, yes, I’ve gotten lost. I’m terrible with directions. One time I got lost between Fort Worth and Dallas. Now everyone knows Fort Worth-Dallas area is huge. I mean it’s traffic is horrendous. I got so lost I almost ended up in Oklahoma……running out of gas…..with no money. Yeah, that was NOT a fun time. I did manage to get back to where I needed to be but with a raging headache and a vow never to drive in Dallas alone again.
I like your mini adventures answers. 😀 😀

I’ll join you in never driving in the DFW area alone! I had to drive there when Mikayla was born 2010 with so much drama that both parents needed to stay at the hospital…so I had to go to their house to get stuff…driving Mike’s F150…alone. Not fun. I also like your never to try again-list. I have the same experience of decaf 🙂 but perming my hair I’ve done over and over…but not in the last few years. Hugs!

My mom once thought it would be fun to perm my hair as my hair was pretty straight back then. Worse thing ever! It got so frizzy that we couldn’t even get a brush or comb through it. Never did that again. LOL
DFW is a scary place to drive alone with you aren’t real familiar with it. I hated it. And did it rarely. 🙂

🙂 the secret with a perm is to make it mild, very mild – otherwise it becomes frizzy. As to DFW, I never drove in there again!

My mom hated me, hence the perm. She wanted to do it again a few years later and I put up such a fuss my dad actually stepped in and said no. Now that didn’t happen very often.

Jack-of-all-trades people are my favorite because when I’m with them I don’t feel so alien in this world. 🙂

I understand that completely! 🙂

Loved your answers. Nothing like getting here on time though. I’m with you on the jack of all trades and master of none. I took whatever job I could bluff my way into. High school diploma doesn’t hold much weight in the world. Drove through DFW once. My nine year old son was navigating. He did a remarkable job but I was white knuckled all the way. I also could no longer see the road so he had to help me stay between the lines until we could find a place to pull off for the night. I still get perms sometime but the one I got from my mom’s friend was just like what you are talking about. Your goal to become filthy rich is one that we all have but don’t expect to come to pass. Getting your books finished is a really good start. I miss your stories. You are such a good writer that you deserve to be rich. My energy is so scattered and fragmented, I can’t get a long term goal down on paper. Lose weight (again). find a way to generate an income, simple things, you know like having money for the bills and groceries. 🙂 I hear you. Hope you are doing better and hubby is too. Thinking about you. 🙂

Thanks, Marlene. It seems you are not the only one with scattered and fragmented energy. I’m right there with you. Sucks when you are trying to get something done. Or, anything. We are doing ok. Big hugs, my friend.

I like your answers. I don’t like decaf either. And I perfectly understand how you could get lost like you did. Not everyone gets to where they’re going following a map.

Thanks. One problem was Dallas is always full of road construction. By the time you have figured out the re-routes you are lost. 🙂
