Good day, People! Hope everyone is safe and sound today and having a great time!
Let’s get started on this week’s questions and answers from Cee’s Share Your World.
How do you like to spend a rainy day?
Mostly how I spend every other day. On my computer. Either writing (or trying to), playing games or reading. One day is much like another around here, rain or shine.
Sometimes, when I had a covered porch I would sit outside and listen to it rain. I love the rain. I wish I had a covered porch once more.
List at least five favorite treats. (They do not have to be sugary).
Peanuts, pears, anything with lemon in it, asparagus (they are a bit expensive around here), popcorn (unsalted), most berries. If I’m really bad I love peanut M & M’s.
Where’s your favorite place to take out-of-town guests?
It’s been close to 12 years since I’ve had out-of-town guests. That’s when my mom and sister gave me a surprise visit from Wisconsin. They stayed with me for about a week and we took them to Banff (a town in Alberta) and the Rocky Mountains. It’s beautiful up there no matter what time of year. We took them to several local touristy type places too. They seemed to enjoy themselves.
You are trapped in an elevator, who would you want to be trapped with?
Cee gave the best answer…..the person who could fix the elevator from inside. LOL
If I couldn’t luck out and have them, I wouldn’t mind being stuck in an elevator with Neil Gaiman or JD Robb (Nora Roberts) so I could talk books, poetry, and just everyday things. I think both are interesting people without the glamor and drama of other high-profile people.
Or, anyone who wouldn’t go hysterical and I could have a decent conversation with while we wait for that person to fix the elevator.
There you are, folks! Hope you enjoyed and if you want to join us, just click the link above and it will take you to Cee’s where you can join in on the fun.
I’d be awful stuck in an elevator, sorry to say. LOL

I agree about whomever I’m stuck in an elevator with had better be a good conversationalist. And not using his or he cell phone to talk to someone else. If we’re there together, let’s chat. Also, I’ve been to Banff. So pretty. I want to go back. *sigh*

I love rainy days too. I’d do anything in the rain and love to just sit and listen to it. I’m claustrophobic so an elevator is not somewhere I want to be stuck but I’m with you all the way. Let me be stuck with someone intelligent enough to hold an interesting conversation. I’m trying to figure out where to take an out of town guest Since I can’t drive far it should be interesting. I got family to take most of my out of towner’s to our City book store. It covers a whole city block and has 3 stories. 🙂 No ulterior motives there. We took my SIL to our fabric store that covers an acre. She needed a cart to get around in it. I’m not good at doing the tourist things. I’d like to see Banff though.

Oh, I’m terrible at doing the tourist thing. We had my stepson drive us to Banff. It was years ago and I haven’t been anywhere since. LOL
I would love, love, love to go that bookstore! It’s been ages since I went to one. I could live in one. ha! 🙂

I could live in that bookstore too. They have a coffee shop and they think I’m kidding when I ask to rent a room. 🙂 It’s called Powell’s and it’s a Portland landmark.

We retired to the Pacific Northwest (Tacoma, WA, USA) in 2013 after 40+ years in St. Louis. I keep hearing about Banff. And I also hope to take the train through the Canadian Rockies some time soon. Glad to meet you.

Hi Mary! Glad you stopped in. Banff is gorgeous. Especially in the fall and spring. The train ride would be great. I wouldn’t mind doing that myself! 🙂

I love listening to rain too, although this year I’m a bit worn out. We’ve had so much rain it’s lost the effect to soothe me.

It can do that. Too much rain is as bad as not enough. We’ve had a very dry summer here. I could use some of your rain.

I’d love to share, I can’t recall a summer like this, it’s cool and wet. We had almost three inches the first ten days of July.
