Hello, People! I hope that everyone that celebrated Labor Day had a good long weekend. Also, those of you that have kids going back to school today I wish you peace and quiet to relax in. 😉
Now let’s answer Cee’s Share Your World questions!
What color do you feel most comfortable wearing?
When I was younger I never wore anything but dark clothes. Blacks, grays, blues, you get the picture. Now and for the last several years I wear the rainbow! I love bright clothes now. Reds, purples, light blues, emerald-green, even orange. Seems the older I get the braver I become in colors. I want bright, cheery ones.
What is your favorite type of dog? (can be anything from a specific breed, a stuffed animal or character in a movie)
Any dog that is around me. I love all dogs. I used to raise German Shepherds years ago. Now I have Sam, who is a Shih Tzu/Bichon mix. I have had Dachshunds, Pekingese, and mixed breeds. I just love them all.
List at least five favorite flowers or plants.
- Iris
- Dill (love the smell)
- Aloe Vera
- Lemon Grass
- Lilacs
What inspired you this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
Reading all the uplifting stories of heroes of the Harvey storm. People truly are good. I cried about animals being rescued and laughed at the ‘angry cat’ picture. (I do hope that poor cat made it). I’m so glad there were so many unsung heroes rescuing animals and of course people.
What a fun post🙂 Those are the best colors to wear, cheerful ones. Oow Aloe Vera is a great plant for therapeutical purposes. Oh man, yeah I have to hand it to all those people being such a helping hand to those caught in the hurricane, those that were harmed are brave inspiring people as well.

What do you use it for?

I use it for small cuts and burns and I also use it for when I flare up with my psoriasis. It doesn’t make it go away but it does help with the itching.

Well that’s something new, I wasn’t aware that it also helped with itching, That will come into use one of these days I’m sure.

Love those answers. I love all kinds of dogs too. I love dogs period. I’m still not as brave as you are with color. I’d like to be. Maybe when I get old. 🙂 Like your list of plants. Dill has a wonderful odor. Fennel does that for me too. No big labor day here. Quiet and smokey. We need rain.

You should try colors, Marlene, they are very uplifting. 🙂 Quiet and smokey here too and we also need rain. Maybe we should try a rain dance? 😉

Fun post! That cat has the same look mine did when he fell in the pool (although he likes to swim). Very determined and ready to GET OUT OF THE WATER.

Thanks Noelle. Yeah, for some reason most cats don’t like water unless it’s on their terms. 😉

That’s one tough kitty right there! I saw that picture on Facebook, I hope he made it to dry ground.
I’m the same, now I love bright colors…but back in the day, I tried to be all goth and shit. 🙂

I used to wear all kinds of colors but I’ve transitioned to more neutral tones because line drying clothes in the sun does some pretty funky things to those bright colors. My one rule is that I like plain pieces, no sayings or strange images on my clothes.
It’s awful what so many are going through right now. I hope you get some much needed rain soon.
It’s been quiet around here since school started with one exception, a couple of the children are really loud heading to the bus stop and wake me up way before I want to be awake!
Have a good weekend, Jackie.

I can see where line drying would not be good for colors. Yeah I don’t wear anything with sayings on them either. Have a great weekend yourself, Lois.

I love wearing lively colours as well, Jackie. And I’m definitely a dog person (but I do feel sorry for that cat) 😉

I feel sorry for the cat too, even though it’s facial expression is “don’t mess with me!” I do hope it made it to safety.
