Welcome to my blog. This is where you will find the DeeDee Watson, PI, series author. That’s me!
This blog is a mixture of writing about writing, just having fun with words, things that strike my funny bone and a bit of personal stuff as well. It’s all here.
I’ve had this blog for about five years now. It’s evolved a lot since I posted that first post. You can see how my writing career has become a reality and grown through those five years. I went from someone who didn’t have anything of note published to two (so far) books published. The idea of the Dee and Tee books started out as a challenge from the April A – Z challenge. Those daily chapters turned out to be ‘The Canine Caper’, (after tons of editing) which is a novella that introduces DeeDee Watson and her furry sidekick Tee the dog. Along with a wide cast of other characters, Dee and Tee are a crime-fighting duo who outwit the bad guys.
Of course, it’s not all fun and games and Dee and Tee manage to get themselves into some deep trouble here and there. Which they do in the next full-length book, ‘A Case of Deceit’. But, enough about them for now. If you landed on this page it’s because you are curious about me, the author of this blog. So here is a brief biography……
I live in Canada but am originally from the states. I was born and raised in Wisconsin and spent more than twenty years in Texas. I’ve always loved to read and write stories. If my head wasn’t buried in a book reading, it was buried in notebooks, writing. I have a fascination with the written word. I’ve always wanted to write a book and now that I have, I’m more in love with books than ever. So for now, I live in Alberta, Canada with the husband, two cats and my own furry dog sidekick, Sam.
I am currently working on two more novels. The third in the Dee and Tee series, ‘The Murder in Cabin 22C’ and a new stand-alone novel, ‘Smoke Tendrils’ that will be quite a bit different but still full of suspense.
So much to do, so little time. If you want to contact me just drop me an email from my contact page. Or drop me a comment here!
Now, Dee and Tee seem to be in trouble again, so if you’ll excuse me………
A writer who dabbles in all the disciplines. Lovely. Are you ready for winter? I only say that as I was born Calgary. 🙂
