Share Your World ~~~ June 12, 2017

Always a day late and a dollar short. 😉

Here are Cee’s Share Your World questions and my answers for this week.

What do you do when you’re not working? If you are retired, what do you do that is not part of your regular daytime routine?

I haven’t worked a ‘real’ job since I moved to Canada almost 17 years ago. A long time. Now I’m close to retirement age. In fact, I will be officially retired after September when I turn 62. Whew, that seems like a big number in age. I don’t feel any older than I did when I was 32. Eh, we all get to this age at one point if we are lucky. For the last four or five years, I’ve been taking care of the husband who is sickly. That will continue. So really, nothing is different or not part of a regular routine.

What would you do if you won the lottery?

Ah, my favorite fantasy. The first thing I would do is help some friends that need help. I would go visit them and give them the gift of relieving their financial nightmares. Then I would build me my cabin in some woods with a wild garden and enjoy life for a change. They say money doesn’t buy happiness but I say let me be the judge of that. 😉

What makes you laugh the most?

My dog Sam. Really. He’s a funny pup and makes me laugh every day, even if I don’t feel like it. He’s a goof with a giant heart. My friends make me laugh too. I’m lucky in that I pick some really funny and kind-hearted people as friends. Sometimes I wonder why they pick me as I’m not all that funny.

What is your biggest pet peeve with modern technology?

That it’s sometimes smarter than me. LOL

There you go, folks. Exciting stuff, eh? How’s your week going?

Share Your World ~~~ May 15, 2017

It must be Monday, so time for Cee’s Share Your World.

I’ve been terrible in writing posts lately and I apologize for that. In between feeling sick most of the past few months and having a terrible case of ‘blank page syndrome’ with my writing I’ve felt I’ve really let my readers down. Hell, I’ve let ME down.

I’m trying to get back into flash fiction and writing my books but it’s been a struggle to concentrate.

If I can ever figure out what my stomach problems are maybe it can be fixed. I’m trying….that’s all I can say. Hope you guys stick with me.

Now, enough of the maudlin crap. Here are this week’s questions.

How many languages do you speak?

Two if you count sarcasm as a language, which I do, by the way. Otherwise, just good old English. I took Spanish, French and German in school but I never was very good at them. I think it’s because my teachers didn’t make it interesting enough. I mean, let’s learn how to talk the language, not just put a sentence together. Maybe it’s the way I learn things. By actual doing. I would have learned the languages better if we would have had conversations with them. Or maybe I just don’t have the knack for picking up languages. I dunno.

What are you reading, watching, listening to, eating?

I haven’t been doing a lot of reading. Mostly blogs if I do. I have tons of books to read but again, that concentration issue is not letting me enjoy reading. As for watching, I hate to admit this, but I got hooked on Netflix a few months ago. I watch it on my computer. I’m really into the English crime shows. I finished 19 seasons of Midsomer Murders and a few seasons of Father Brown (just waiting for the next seasons to get on Canada Netflix). Now, for some strange reason, I started watching iZombie.  I’m almost through season one. Please don’t judge me. I actually like the show.

As for eating. Not a whole lot. Because you know, stomach problems. I have had to cut out anything with milk, cheese, beans, spicy, tomatoes and tomato sauce and some vegetables because they make my stomach worse. My doctor says I have developed ‘food sensitivities’ because of my diabetes. I think I’ve developed IBS but eh, either way, it sucks. I’ve been living on chicken and bland ass food. I hate it. But I hate the fiery, crampy, volcanic stomach more.

What was the last photo you took with your phone?

I finally was forced by my telephone company to get a smartphone. I had an old flip phone for a lot of years. We use it for emergencies only. We’re old. We take it in the car with us in winter in case something happens. I make the husband carry it if he goes somewhere, in case. We use it rarely. Anyway, I got a great deal from the phone company because they were forcing me to upgrade my cell phone. I played with it when I first got it last year and took photos of Sam and the cats. Then I turned it off and put it away. Soooo, the answer is Sam and the cats.

What is your favorite time of day?

First thing in the morning after I get up. I’m always the first one up and I love the quiet. The TV that the husband insists on being on 24/7 is in stealth mode because he is sleeping and hasn’t watched it in more than 4 hours. So the house is quiet for a change. I make my first cup of coffee and sit in front of my computer and just listen to the silence for a while. Ahhhh, my kind of peace.

Hope everyone is having a good day. If not…tomorrow is the start of another chance to change things.

If you feel like joining Cee and me in our questions and answers, please do! I love hearing from you all.

Share Your World ~~~ May 8, 2017

Hello, People!

I do hope your weekend was a good one. As for me, well, I’ve been sick on and off for the past few weeks. Stomach problems. You can usually tell when I’m not feeling well because I post less and less on my blog.

When I don’t feel well physically it does something to my brain as well. I can’t concentrate to write. Hopefully, this ailment won’t last long. I don’t make a good patient, even for myself. The doctor prescribed some pills for me and sometimes they even work but not always. I find I can eat very little and what I do eat makes my stomach upset. It’s very frustrating.

Anyway, I’ve changed my diet all around and I shall see if that works to settle my stomach. If not. Back to the doctors. Maybe. I’m beginning to have very little faith in doctors lately. They just want to push pills to cover the symptoms but not to find the root cause of the problem. Ugh. I’ll get it figured out eventually.

I would say ‘enough about me’ but this post is all about me! Ha! Let’s get to answering Cee’s Share Your World questions for this week, shall we?

When you’re alone at home, do you wear shoes, socks, slippers, or go barefoot?

I wear slippers. Even if I’m not alone at home. 😉 I almost never wear socks. I don’t like them. Shoes are for when I leave the house. Here at home, slippers all the time. When I was younger I went barefoot almost all the time. Now that I’ve become diabetic, I wear slippers as diabetics need to keep their feet in tip-top shape.

What was your favorite food when you were a child?

The only thing I can remember really looking forward to eating was my dad’s chili. He used to make the best chili and I loved it. We very rarely got dessert when we were kids but sometimes my mom would make baked apples. Yum! Those were my favorites as sweets.

Are you a listener or talker?

A listener. Always. I don’t talk that much, especially at gatherings. I’m the one you will find in a corner watching everyone until I can manage to get away. I have always found that I learn so many more things by just listening than by talking. People forget I’m around and talk freely. I’ve found out some very interesting things that way.

Favorite thing to (pick one):  Photograph?  Write? Or Cook?

It has to be to write. I love to write stories and flash fiction. I just love to write as anyone who really knows me knows. I’ve always been that way. I used to love to cook but as I grow older I find cooking to be highly overrated. LOL

That my friends ends another scintillating session on me. Oh, one more thing. If I haven’t answered your comments recently, I apologize. It seems WordPress is being difficult. Your comments aren’t always showing up and when they finally do I can’t seem to answer them from the drop down box on the upper right side. I have to go directly to the post and answer them. So I haven’t been ignoring you, it just takes time to track you down. Sorry.

Share Your World ~~~ May 1, 2017

Here’s another exciting (ha!) edition of Share Your World. Hope you enjoy and join in.

Would you rather live where it is always hot or always cold?

If I could have my way it would be neither. I love the changing of the seasons. I like winter but am glad to see it leave for spring. Where I am now, in my little corner of Canada, it’s fairly moderate, even in winter. We are a bit protected by the Rocky Mountains. I like it here.

Do you prefer long hair or short hair for yourself?

Long hair. I do have long hair but I always put up in a ponytail. So, does that mean it’s actually short? I don’t like the look of short hair on me. Never did. I’ll be a long-haired old woman.

What is your favorite month of the year?

I’m going to have to say September. Not only is it my birthday month, it falls in a beautiful time of year when leaves are turning golden and red for Autumn. The air gets a bit crisp and the sky turns that magical blue hue it gets when it’s fall. I love it!

What is the easiest way for you to learn something new?  By reading, by seeing and doing, in a classroom?

It’s always been by just getting in there and doing. Followed by reading. I’m a visual person, I can read something and picture it in my mind just how it should go. But, nothing tops just doing it. I learn best by trial and error.

How is life treating you?

Share Your World ~~~ April 24, 2017

Hello, People! I do hope everyone’s weekend was good.

Here is this Monday’s Share your world from Cee. Why not go visit her blog and see about joining us! If not, just visiting her blog and seeing her wonderful photos will do you a world of good.

Wanting something to quench your thirst, what would you drink?

It’s usually water or coffee. I have one diet soda a day but for a real thirst, I go for water.

Complete this sentence:  Never In My Life Have I….

Never in my life have I …gone for a helicopter ride, went on a safari, swam in the ocean, …. and the list could go on and on. I mean there are a lot of ‘nevers’ in my life as I’m sure there are in others. I try not to dwell on them. I’m getting older and not traveling anymore so I may never do those nevers. And that’s ok. I’ve done a lot of other things and I’m content with that.

If you could be given any gift what would it be?

I could say my health back. But, that’s a bit unrealistic but it would be nice. Materialistically? I would say…money. I want to know my husband and I would be well taken care of as we age. I would also like enough to help my friends that need it.

On my list too would be to buy a big piece of land with a small cottage smack in the middle and have the rest for a safe haven for abused and misplaced animals. I always wanted a huge place so I could save as many animals as I could. They are the innocents of the world.

What do you do if you can’t sleep at night? Do you count sheep, toss and turn, or get up and try to do something productive?

I meditate. I take deep breaths and think pleasant thoughts. I know I can’t get up and do something because my body takes that as a time to fully wake up and energize. I learned a long time ago not to do that. Sometimes I toss and turn but eventually, I fall asleep. Usually, though, all it takes is meditation.

How was your weekend?

Share Your World ~~~ April 17, 2017

Hello, People! I  hope everyone had a great Easter weekend.

Today, we are back on schedule with this week’s Share Your World questions and answers. Hope you enjoy and even join us!

When writing by hand do you prefer to use a pencil or pen?

I always use a pen. I love the ease and flow of a pen. I collect pens too. Different colors and such. I think I’m drawn to the colors like a kid.

Would you rather be an amazing dancer or an amazing singer?

Even though I’ve always loved dancing, I think I would love being an amazing singer. Maybe it’s because I can actually dance and I can’t sing worth a damn. I have an amazing ear for music but my voice is sadly lacking. It’s so bad that whenever I try to sing at home my female cat attacks me. LOL Truth!

If you were on a debate team, what subject would you relish debating?

I learned to debate late in life. From an old boyfriend who was great at it. Now, I very rarely use the ability as most people around me get so angry. They don’t know how to debate, only yell. So sad. I love a good debate. As for a subject, I would relish debating? It’s usually subjects that people get very…emotional about. I try to keep emotions out of things….it just makes a good debate impossible.

What are you a “natural” at doing?

Reasoning things out. I can look at a problem and figure out a solution. I’m a very visual person. I ‘see’ solutions in my head. Not with math though. I’m absolutely terrible at math but I can see solutions to word problems or spatial things. I see….patterns. I’m also very logical. I am also a natural artist. I found out years ago I have a knack for painting. Never took lessons but I’m pretty good at it.

Have a wonderful week, everyone!

Questions and Answers

Hello, people! I do hope your weekend went well. On Mondays, I usually do Cee’s Share Your World post but unfortunately, Cee has been ill the last few days and will not be posting her famous Monday questions for us to answer.

So, I have decided to post some of my own questions with of course my answers to them. If anyone would like to answer the questions please feel free to do so!

Here we go……..

Have you ever played a practical joke on anyone?

No, not that I recall. If I have it wasn’t on purpose. I’m terrible at practical jokes or joke telling.

What is your most essential appliance?

I was going to say my refrigerator but then I thought, well I have gone without one for a while, it can be done.

For this house right now I would have to say the microwave. I use that thing every single day, several times a day. The husband uses it more than me. Or my coffee maker, although again I have made coffee on the stove before and can if I have to. It doesn’t make the best coffee, though.

Have you ever been in a newspaper?

No. Probably the only time I will ever be in a newspaper is the obit section.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

Free. No, really. I wanted to be free. I’m still not sure I made it. If you mean career wise, well, like most kids I had phases. I wanted to be in the Navy for the longest time but I couldn’t pass the physical (bad hearing). I also wanted at one time to be a vet but was afraid that all those hurting and abused animals would just tear me up too much.

Then I decided I wanted to be a secretary (that’s what we call administrative assistants back then. I’m not sure what they call them now.)

Was that for a few years, hated it…plus I refused to make coffee for the boss. He didn’t appreciate it.

I always wanted to be a writer but I knew even back then one very rarely makes enough money doing that but it didn’t stop me from dreaming.

Have you ever had a secret admirer?

Wouldn’t be much of a secret if I knew, now would it? I have no idea but I very much doubt it. I’m not the kind of woman who men (or women for that matter) fall for and are afraid to step forward and say so.

What’s the most unusual conversation you’ve ever had?

I have had lots of unusual conversations. I seem to draw that out in people. I’m open to discuss pretty much anything, unusual or not.

My most unusual? Hm, I think I would have to say the most unusual was when I was much younger and my best friend and roommate was in her mental breakdown and we discussed her hallucinations. We discussed what she saw and what they were saying to her. This was all while she was in the middle of her breakdown and I was trying my best to calm her down so she wouldn’t kill me.

Looking back I would have to say, yeah, that was the most unusual. It saved my life, though, I firmly believe that.

Are you a bad loser?

I don’t like to lose. Who does? I don’t think I’m a bad loser. I mean I don’t throw cards in card games or swear (much) or pout. I’m used to losing. Terrible thing to say, eh?

Do you have any superstitions?

I would love to say….no. But, if I’m being completely honest I am somewhat. I do believe that if you think negative thoughts it will come back on you. That might be karma.

I’m not superstitious about black cats or walking under ladders or any of that kind of stuff. I’m superstitious about universal things, like karma.

I don’t throw salt over my shoulder (my ex MIL used to do that). Or my grandmother always said not to put a hat on a bed as it would bring bad luck. I don’t own any hats so I don’t think I have to worry.

I do kind of believe in special numbers and what they mean. I don’t know if that qualifies as superstitious. Probably does.

Are you good at keeping secrets?

Yes, I am. Very good. Some I’ve been carrying around for too many years to count. Others are more new.

So, if you have a secret you are dying to tell someone, I’m your gal!

Have you ever used the yellow pages?

I’m old. Used to be the only way to find a business’s phone number. Now I just Google stuff.

So the answer would be ….yes, of course I have. Sometimes I still do.

Share Your World ~~ March 20, 2017

Last week for one reason or another I didn’t post much. Sorry about that. Life has a way of getting in the way of pleasure sometimes. I’ll have to do one of my catching up posts to update you on things in my part of the world. I have some (maybe) good news about the husband. So, stay tuned for that!

For today, I’m posting Cee’s Share Your World questions for this week. Thanks Cee for helping me with a blog post. 🙂

Today’s questions and answers are:

How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?

Some days I definitely feel my years. Others, hmm, maybe thirty, or forty? Now some of you might think…wow…that’s not that young of an age. It is when you are actually twice that. Ha! My mind is forever young, my body…not so much.

So, you’re on your way out and it’s raining. Do you know where your umbrella is or do you frantically search for it all over your apartment/house?

People actually own an umbrella? I love the rain. The feel of it on my face. I don’t really remember when I did own an umbrella. I don’t remember the last time I saw someone use one either. I don’t think they are as popular as they used to be.

Do you recharge your energy by going out with friends for a good time or by spending it with quiet time alone?

Oh, I must have my alone time. I would prefer it in the woods surrounded by nature but that’s not going to happen anytime soon. So I find it in my office or ‘writing room’ when I actually do any writing. I love the sound of silence.

Name three things you and your spouse, partner or best friend have in common.

I actually laughed at this one because I began thinking what my husband and I have in common…..and came up with nothing. Really, opposites must attract with us because we are not alike at all. So, I had to look at my bestie and me. We both have the same sense of humor (weird), we both love to write and read and we both are very honest with each other. If we don’t hear from each other in weeks, it’s ok. We communicate like time never passed. In fact we often times marvel at how similar our lives are. It helps in the understanding of each other.

That’s it for today, folks. Short and sweet. Hows things going with you? Let me know!

Here I Go, Talking About Me Again

Good day, People. Hope your weekend was a good one. Now we are on the final stretch of finally getting the US election over with. With all that going on I thought some comic relief was in order. Or maybe it’s just some more weirdness going on…..

This is a post about yours truly, courtesy of Cee’s Share Your World questions. Can’t get weirder than me talking about me…again. I’m my biggest fan, apparently. ha!

forest-clipart-forest-stream-22526726

Describe your own outlook on life in seven words or less. (NOTE:  does not  have to be a sentence.)

All things are temporary, especially the bad.

Where do you like to vacation?

What’s a vacation? If I want to go somewhere for a break I would prefer someplace with woods. I feel at home in the woods. Peace and serenity come to me through trees and wildlife.

Candy factories (sweets or treats including chocolate) of the entire world have become one and will now be making only one kind of candy. Which kind, if you were calling the shots?

This one is hard. I like really good chocolate. I imagine most people do. So it would have to be something with chocolate and peanuts. I love the combination of the two.

Complete this sentence: Something that anyone can do that will guarantee my smile is…

I was going to say smile. But I’ve had a few people smile at me that just creeped me out. Have you ever seen a clown smile? Talk about creepy! I’ve seen murderers smile….now if that won’t put you off smiles nothing will. So I’m afraid I will pass on smiles. So I’m going to go with……hell if I know. All I can see are creepy smiles now…thanks a lot, Cee. Ha!

Ok, now that I’ve given myself the heebie geebies I’ll leave. Go visit Cee and see what she says and play along if you like!

Posted in Blogging, Humor, Mi Vida Loca, nonfiction, postaday, Wednesday Whatever!

Wednesday Whatever! (This post will contain TMI on me, so be warned)

Hello, People! I’m trying to get my life back to normal again. Well, as normal as I’ll ever be, which seems to change with the wind. So it is, so it will ever be.

Today’s post is going to be a TMI post but in a fun way (I hope). My friend (who goes by many names) did a post called ‘The Slightly TMI List of Questions‘. She’s a funny lady and I love her muchly so I thought I would steal the post from her and do my own.

Wednesday

Are you ready? And off we go………..

1 – Boxer shorts or budgy smugglers?

I would have to say boxer shorts. I like using my imagination…….

2 – What color of underwear are you currently wearing?

I’m old….so white it is. Yeah, boring right?

3 – How long have you been wearing them for?

I could lie and say for a week and gross you all out….but I won’t. ha! Since I got dressed, about an hour ago.

4 – Do you ever use binoculars to watch people?

I don’t own any binoculars (note to self…get a pair of binoculars). If I DID own a pair I don’t think I would watch people with them. I prefer nature. You know, birds and animals and such. People I watch anyway, just with my regular old eyes. People are such strange creatures……

5 – Have you ever kicked someone in the groin?

Yes, I have. It was kind of accidently on purpose.

6 – Would you pull a trigger?

Yes, and I have a few times. At targets. Now if you had asked ‘would you pull a trigger at somebody’ the answer would be the same. Yes. I have a couple of times. Don’t worry, I never hit them. Just needed to scare them a bit. Which I did. If I wouldn’t have, I would in all probability not be here today so my conscious is clear.

7 – If you met your favorite celebrity, and they wanted to make out with you, would you?

I’m not even sure if I have a favorite celebrity. So it’s a maybe. Eh, who knows.

8 – Have you ever slept in the same bed with someone you were not in a relationship with (not talking about sex and one-night-stands)?

Sure, lots of times. Haven’t most of us?

9 – Have you had one-night-stands?

Yes, I have. Hey, you don’t get to be this age and not experiment or have a life, right? Right!

10 – Does sex have the same importance to you now compared to when you were younger?

Short answer….no. I’m at that age where I know sex isn’t that important anymore. Companionship, friendship, and communication have become more important. You’ll get there one day, my friends. Wait and see.

11 – Have you ever eaten a worm?

Not that I know of. But saying that, I cannot say for sure, as I used to drink Tequila. 😉 Who knows if I did or didn’t while doing so.

12 – What’s the grossest thing you’ve ever eaten?

Liver! That is the nastiest thing. Ugh. Now I’ve eaten grasshoppers, bees, ants, snake and assorted other creatures, but liver of any kind is just nasty.

13 – How long do you spend sitting on the toilet?

Have I mentioned that I’m old? So I have spent way too much time on the toilet than I should have to.

14 – What do you do when you sit there (besides the obvious)?

I don’t read, text or anything like that. I sometimes come up with story lines, though. Well, I did warn you guys that there will be TMI. ha!

15 – Have you ever been peed at?

Anyone who has ever changed a diaper of a little boy has been peed at. I don’t have kids but I’ve babysat them. I’ve also been peed at by dogs when they get too excited. So yeah, I have.

16 – What’s the grossest thing you have ever swallowed?

Oysters. I swear it’s like swollowing snot. Ugh. Or liver….again.

17 – What’s the constantly dirtiest place in your home?

My friend said cat box and I have to agree with her. I have two huge cats. So yeah, I would say the cat box.

18 – Why don’t you clean it?

Why don’t you clean it! Sorry…..got a bit defensive there….. um, I DO clean it. Every day. They like to come in right after I’m done and do their thing. Sigh…..it’s never ending because they are cats.

19 – Do you eat your boogers?

Really? You had to go there? I don’t eat them. Eck. I knew a kid in school who used to. He would sit in class all day and munch down. He didn’t have any friends. Kids are like that.

20 – Can you describe the one smell that makes you gag?

I have a very strong stomach. It would take something major to make me gag. I’m sitting here thinking, give me a minute……. Ok, all I get is rubbing alcohol. It doesn’t really make me gag, it’s more like a rolling of the stomach and a faint feeling. Yeah, I’m weird.

21 – Have you ever had head lice?

No. Even in school. Most of the kids would get them but I never did. Believe me, my mom checked.

22 – Have you ever been utterly disappointed in someone?

Yes, too often.

23 – Have you ever been scared of someone?

Yes, I have. When you look in the eyes of stone cold killer, you tend to get scared.

24 – What do you do when you’re drunk that you wouldn’t want anyone to know about?

I had to really go back a ways on this one. Way back. I came up with…nothing. Even when I was young, I never got that drunk that I didn’t know what I was doing. I might not have cared if I did it, but I never did anything I was ashamed about. I like being in control.

25 – Have you tried pole dancing?

No. If I was younger and more in shape I might as I’ve heard it’s good exercise. Plus have you ever seen what those people can do on one of those poles? They are fantastic!

26 – Have you been in a strip club?

Yes and I have never seen the fascination with them.

27 – Have you ever run over an animal?

Yeah, I did once. Even though it was a skunk I felt terrible for days.

28 – Have you ever peed in snow?

I don’t remember ever doing so. So I’m going with no.

29 – Have you ever made fun of someone and then regretted it?

Once. I did that in grade school. Felt bad about it and tried not to do it again. Unfortunately, I probably did do it again. Sigh, I’m bad.

30 – What’s your favorite kind of question on Cards for Humanity (if you know the game)?

Never played the game.

31 – If the father of your best friend hit on you, what would you say to him?

I don’t believe the father of my best friend is alive anymore. Well, I know one isn’t. The other best friend is almost my age and her father is very old. Doubt it would happen.

32 – Would you go out on a date with someone half your age or double your age?

I had to laugh at this one. Half my age? If I wasn’t married. Maybe. haha! Double my age? Not unless I’m into dating dead guys. As believe me they would be way dead!

33 – Do you clean the sink after brushing your teeth?

I don’t clean it no. I do however rinse it out….because ewwwwww.

34 – Have you ever spat in someone’s food or drink?

Ugh, no!

35 – Have you ever kissed someone only to be grossed out afterwards?

Oh gods, yeah I have. Like my friend’s answer, my ex used to do snuff. Now that is some nasty crap. Also, I never liked beer, so any guy that was drinking beer. Ugh.

36 – What is your number one goal in life, and are you living it?

Well, right now, my number one goal in life is to live, so yeah, I’m living it. hahahaha

37 – Do you spy on your neighbor(s)? If yes, why?

I wouldn’t call it spying. More like an interested bystander. Yeah, that’s so much classier than ‘spy’. Why? Because people are weird.

38 – Have you ever danced and/or cried in the rain?

Yes to both. I’ve cried in the rain when my heart was broken and it just happened to be raining and I was outside. I danced in the rain because I could.

39 – Have you ever ditched work to just chill out on your own (with or without Netflix)?

Yes, because I am an introvert and I need to recharge. When I used to work outside the home I would take a day here and there and just enjoy the silence and be at peace for a little while.

40 – What do you wish you were doing right now (uncensored)?

Right now? I wish I was talking to mom on the phone and telling her I love her. Since I will never be able to do that again, I wish I was in the forest taking a long walk with nature and enjoying the sounds of it, the smell of it, the peacefulness of it.

Or I was sitting watching and listening to a violent thunderstorm.

There you have it folks. If you want to do this let me know and link up! If not, I understand. Love you guys.

I’ve Got To Be Me ~~~ Share Your World, Week 4, 2015

Hello people! I do hope all those in the wake of Storm Juno are doing well today. Did that storm actually do anything? How’s things by all of you?

This week is another question and answer session made possible by Cee, of Cee’s Photography. Why not pay her a visit and say hi! Also, check out her awesome photos.

(awesome song by the legendary Sammy Davis, Jr. )

Where did you live at age five?  Is it the same place or town you live now?

I lived in a haunted house in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was an interesting house to live in. No, I don’t live there now and haven’t for many years. I haven’t even lived in Wisconsin for many years. I’ve traveled around quite a bit since I was 5 years old.

You are invited to a party that will be attended by many fascinating people you never met.  Would you attend this party if you were to go by yourself?

I would like to think I would take the opportunity presented to me. But, knowing myself as I do, I probably wouldn’t go. I don’t enjoy parties or any large gatherings. The introvert in me. I feel out-of-place and awkward.

Did you grow up in a small or big town? Did you like it?

I grew up in the biggest city in Wisconsin. No, I didn’t enjoy it and got out as soon as I was able to. I’ve also lived in Ft. Worth, Texas, another large city, and no didn’t enjoy that either. I have most enjoyed living in smaller towns. Like now, where I live in Canada is a place that is just the right size. Big enough to have the conveniences that I enjoy, but still retain that small town flavor. The people here are friendly and outgoing. I like it here, except for the winters. Can’t have everything I guess!

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I had always wanted to join the Navy and have a military career. That was nixed with my hearing problems. So because of my great love for reading, I decided I wanted to become a writer of great books. I’m still working on that dream. 🙂

Other than that I was always open to possibilities. You just never know what’s around the corner.

What did you think you wanted to be when you were a kid? Did you become that?

Truth or Fiction ~~ Done My Way

Hello people! I hope today is going all right for everyone.

Today I’m doing a version of the kind of posts that were going around this past summer. That’s where the blogger posts a bunch of things about themselves and they are true, except one lie that was snuck in there. I know, I’m late in these kind of things, but I always had other things to write about. Now I’m going to do my version of Truth or Fiction.

I will make statements about myself and YOU, as my guests can tell me if these statements are Truth or Fiction. Or T and F for short. In a few days I will do another post and let you know which were T and which statements were F.

So join my silly little game and let’s have some fun!

Truth or Fiction?

1. At one time, I raised dogs and I owned 14 dogs all at the same time. Five of these dogs lived in the house with me.
