From the four walls that currently surround you to the infinite potential of space, this week we’d like you to show us your take on room, rooms, or a room.
Here is my take, nothing better than Mother Nature’s room. These were taken in Alberta, Canada. They are pictures of the Canadian side of the Rocky Mountains.
Open the first photo album you can find — real or virtual, your call — and stop at the first picture of yourself you see there. Tell us the story of that photo.

I have no real photo albums anymore. I used to but they are all gone now. Long story there for another time. As for virtual photo albums, I have a lot of photos, but they all are about Sam, my dog, or Notwen and Pouncer, my cats. I only have one photo of me and that’s what I use for my Gravatar photo. It was taken about five years ago by yours truly. Yes, my own kind of selfie. I had a new digital camera, one of those small ones, and so I was playing with it when I took my selfie. No duck face, thank goodness. I never understood that craze!
That’s pretty much the story behind this photo. One day I might take another one just to compare how I’ve aged LOL…or then again maybe not.
I don’t enjoy having my photo taken so there aren’t many around, anywhere. I’m usually behind the camera not in front. I’ve always been this way, camera-shy. So I suppose once I die, I’ll only be a fading memory somewhere. That’s ok. I can live and die with that.
Perspective is important to every photographer. With the creative use of perspective narrowed down through the lens of a camera, a bit of gravel can look like a barren desert landscape or a few trees can trick the eye into thinking you’re deep in a centuries-old forest.
This week’s photo challenge is about perspective: post a photo which is not what it seems to be. Make sure you share what the photo actually is of in its caption!
For those who are looking for an extra bit of challenge, show us two photos, each one showing a different angle or interpretation of the same subject:
I’ve decided to take a short break from packing up my house to move so I could post something this week. I miss my writing every day! Ugh, I hate packing! Anyway, I saw the Weekly Photo Challenge at WordPress this week and thought, what a fun idea! Being an artist I love color, any color, but purple has got to be my hands down favorite. It can be calming, royal, vibrant, or anything in between.
I haven’t had time to go out and take photos myself, but these that I found on the internet are beautiful! Hope you enjoy some of my favorite things…….. in purple!
