I’ve been lurking looking about a bit the last few days. I have been truly impressed with all the blogs out there on writing. Either talking about writing or actually doing the writing. Be it short stories, poems, or memoirs. Even the blogs on daily life, or reviewing books. If you can’t write well, you won’t draw in the readers! You all are so very talented!
What I would like to do, (if feasible) is once a week I would like to interview someone on why they started their blog, how they came to love writing, where they would like to go from here. Also, if they have any tips on blogging, writing, editing, research, etc.
I would send them via email a set of questions, they answer and I post here! Viola!
I personally think it would be interesting reading. And who turns down tips if it will help them achieve their goals in writing? So, what do you think???

Small arch point – “your” opinion, not “you’re opinion”. When we used o do this on MySpace, we would send a standard set of 30 questions to an interviewee and pick the 8 or 9 most interesting, random answers. That way you never got the same set of questions but you still framed the interview within an equal set of expectations.

I’m going to have to watch my editing 😉 thanks for the suggestions, I thought about sending about that many questions any way. Probably for the same reason. Any other suggestions are happily received!

I think it’s a great idea. I’m always curious what made people start their blog in the first place. Following on from the previous suggestions, mixing up the questions and responses might be a good idea, but it might be good to make sure there were a couple that were always answered just to give a basic profile of the person and their blog. Or you could do a write up yourself.
