I Love How You Love Me ~~~ Share Your World, Week 3, 2015

Hello People!

Back for some more of me, eh? Good for you! I love my readers.

This week Cee from Cee’s Photography gives us some more great questions to answer. If you want to know what this is all about, go over to Cee’s and join! You might also want to look around as she has some fantastic photos to share. Now on with the love fest!

Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?

Most people would say someone famous. A writer, a singer, a celebrity. Me, I would want some of my blogging buddies over for dinner. I want to meet them in real life, become best buds not only here in the virtual world, but in reality too. I think we would have a blast! We could start out cooking together, eating together and of course cleaning up together. We would laugh and joke and cry about some of our problems. It would all be great fun. Just to name a few, Maddie, Lois, J (Sheena, PunkRocker), Tiny, Michael, Mer, Evil Squirrel, Marlene, and anyone else who wants to come! Let’s have dinner, drinks (for those of us who imbibe), laughs, good times! (If I missed putting you down, I’m sorry, just sign up and let’s have dinner!)

When did you last sing to yourself? To someone else?

I sing to myself all the time. Softly though, as I don’t want anyone to hear me. To someone else? Never! My goodness, you would NOT want to hear me sing. Just to give an example about how bad I am, last time I sang out loud (I was alone) my cat Pouncer attacked me! LOL True story.

If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one quality or ability, what would it be?

I would love to have the ability to write how I want to write. I’m always working on my craft, but it never reaches the quality I want. I want to convey so much more in my writing than I’m able to now, not for riches or fame, for the ability to reach people and make them feel good, or happy, or forget their problems for just a little while. I want to be that kind of writer.

What, if anything, is too serious to be joked about?

Rape. I hate when people joke about it. It is no way, in any shape or form, funny. Next on my list would be animal cruelty or child abuse. How can any of this be funny? Or joked about?

Bonus question: Β What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful for good friends, who have helped contribute to a fundraiser for my new mattress. You kind people simply amaze me with how generous you are, even though some of you don’t always have enough for yourselves. I’m so close to my goal. I am dreaming about that new mattress and finally a good night’s sleep. So please, if anyone can help me out, click on the sleeping lady in my sidebar and read about my fundraiser, help if you can. I love you guys!

  1. I’m on my way. πŸ™‚ I would love to meet so many of the wonderful people I have gotten to know virtually through blogging. I was just thinking the other day of a road trip where I could travel to
visit those I’ve corresponded with and here you go planning a dinner. πŸ™‚

I too sing all the time, but never when anyone else can hear me. I love to sing loudly and really get into the music but even in my car the only way I can do this is if the windows are all the way up. πŸ™‚ Recently my grandson was cranky and my son suggested I sing to him. No way I was going to do that while adults were in the room but alone with the baby sure, he can’t tell anyone how badly I sing. πŸ™‚

  2. I’ll bring a few kangaroo steaks for dinner Jackie, sounds like a good idea. Your singing ability does make me smile, everyone can sing you know, just some are better at it than others.

    1. Mm, thanks? I’d skip on the kangaroo steaks Michael, for one thing, won’t get them past customs, (whew!). But hey, just bring you and some warm clothes and you are set. LOL

  3. Suddenly it looks like I have an identity crisis LOL! Yay for dinner, it can be a potluck. I will bring whatever is on sale at the deli counter at the store, because that is how I do those things πŸ˜€

Singing to animals? You really are a Disney princess, aren’t you?

    1. People know you from different names, I just wanted to be sure they knew who I meant. LOL

Disney princess??? ME???? Oh my I had to laugh at that one, I don’t think anyone is under the illusion I’m a Disney princess. πŸ˜‰

      1. Maybe I need to change my identity completely. I tend to do that every two years or so πŸ˜€

  4. Me too, me come too! πŸ™‚ As I said to Sheena, I’ll bring baked goods!

I can sing a little bit and have sung in front of people (including on my blog!) but that is the quality/ability that I would choose, to be able to do that much much better! (Although if you ask me on a different day, I might pick a different one).

    1. Of course, come Vanessa! I’d love to have you over for dinner!

I think you sing great! I’ve heard you on your blog. Plus, you’re funny. πŸ™‚

  5. We need to beef up your readership. I want to see you get that bed. I’m looking for one too. My bed is over 15 years old and I’m going to put it in the guest room and sleep on my sister’s double until she wants it back, If I can stand it. Those were some interesting questions here. I liked your answer about what you won’t joke about. I’m in complete agreement. I don’t sing for the same reason. Who would I have to dinner? Anyone that will come with food for a potluck. I’m no cook. I’d love to come visit you and all the bloggers I follow and follow me. Some of you are like my best friends. Actually you really are my best friends. I’ve probably known you longer than most of the people in my life not counting my family. It’s hard to always be the new kid on the block.

    1. It is hard to be the new kid on the block all the time, isn’t it? Plus, I don’t make friends easily. My blog buddies are my best friends too. And that’s ok.

I want to see me get the bed too Marlene. I”m stuck right now. But I can understand just after Christmas not many people have extra cash. I have a bit over 2 months to go on the fundraiser, we’ll see how I do. Thanks and big hugs. ❀

  6. Oh, how I’d love to have dinner with you in person! We’d have a blast. I hope one day….You made me LOL and LOL with the true story of Pouncer attacking you when you sang. You know, maybe it’s not you, but just a bad allergic reaction to singing in general πŸ˜€ Once we cross over to Feb, I’ll try to help you more…you need that mattress, girl!!

    1. Pouncer has attacked me twice when I sang out loud! So I’m pretty sure it’s me. LOL

Aw, thank you my dear friend about the mattress. I’m trying to find a good sale here. I”m hoping to get lucky with that. Big hugs! ❀
